SSOA Board Resolution Relative to Absentee Voting
October 4, 2005
The following language regarding absentee voting was proposed by Kelly Rogers
and seconded by Allison Wilkinson.
The following Board members voted in favor of the proposed amendment to the
bylaws:
Allison Wilkinson
Reggie Nozawa
Ryan Hall
Kelly Rogers
Absent from the vote was Raleigh Huntsman
The motion thus passed and the SSOA Bylaws are hereby amended as follows:
Section 2.18 Absentee Ballots. Members entitled to vote may vote by
absentee ballot. For all matters that require a vote of the membership, the
Board shall distribute "absentee ballots" to those who have
specifically requested such a ballot. In addition, the Board may distribute
absentee ballots to all members for any matter to be voted upon. The absentee
ballot shall be the same ballot used by those who vote in person at a regular or
special meeting, except for statements that the ballot being used is an absentee
ballot. Absentee ballots may be received up until the time any such meeting
begins. A member may not vote in person at a meeting if they have already
submitted an absentee ballot.
